Just carrying on form mum's speech, I'm just going to give a quick talk about what Jane means to us as a sister. Initially this was going to be a triple act but somehow I ended up with the short straw and had to brave the crowds alone. Joking aside I was honoured to be able to say a few words for my big sister. I think that her achievements alone give you a pretty good idea of what type of person she is. I think that the one word that describes my sister is Inspirational. This encompasses her hard-working and loving nature, her loyalty, but most importantly her selflessness. Just thinking back over the years, I can not remember Jane ever getting into trouble with mum or dad, whether at home or in school. This was obviously in total contrast to us boys who seemed to take it turns to cause trouble, and still continue to do so to this day. I think I figured out Jane's secret. Fortunately it's not rocket science (or physics even). Jane simply treats others as she wants to be treated and she affords everyone the same respect that she feels she would like to be given. This sounds like such a simple thing to do but as I am sure we can all testify it is in-fact very difficult. In effect Jane has always been a perfect role model for us boys. Even when she was busy becoming a doctor and helping others, she always found time to be there for her mother and her three mischievous little brothers. I think that Myself, Chris and Tim always secretly dreaded the day Jane would introduce us to her 'boyfriend'. We envisaged it as a time when the trouble would start and when we would have to do our bits as brothers to help keep her man in line. Fortunately, this wasn't the case with Imran (I say fortunately because he is a very big man, ha ha). After just a few minutes of the initial meeting with Imran it was clear that he was different and that he was a suitable man for the job. He is honest and sincere, and like Jane he always put the needs of others before his own. I have come to notice and appreciate these attributes more and more over the years as he has grown to be a loyal friend and brother to myself and the boys. I think that today's events (just a mere decade or so after that initial encounter) show's that Imran was not just suitable for the job; he was in fact perfect. Just before I finish I also wanted to send my warm regards and prayers to all our friends and family in Nigeria. As we speak they are also celebrating Jane and Imran's marriage. I would also like to send my regards to our relatives and friends who could not make it here today, but who will be partying alongside us. On this note I ask you all to stand and raise your glasses to two very special people, without whom I feel that we would all be lost at times………. To Jane and Imran. 4- now to the big-man, my friend and my brother Imran.
